PLYMOUTH SAVOY 1958
Our Plymouth Savoy dates from 1958 and was named after the famous chain of Hotels.
This car is is a real time warp and is in wonderfully original condition and, apart from fitting better brakes and tyres for safety, it is just the way it would have been when new.
The car has bench seats front and rear which means it can easily accommodate six, including the driver, and the back seat is wide enough for four, so no problem with that dress. It is trimmed in a neutral blue starred upholstery, set off with blue carpets and cream headliner. Despite its age this spacious car has an incredibly smooth ride and a whisper quiet engine, perfect for cruising gently to your destination.
For Petrolheads, is has a 318 cubic inch (5,200 cc) V8 engine fitted to a three speed automatic gearbox, operated by a set of push buttons on the dashboard, and it is just over 17 feet long! The car was designed by the famous American stylist Virgil Exner who was responsible for some of the most extraordinary automotive shapes ever seen on the planet. Don’t ask about fuel consumption!
